The Tonka Water Customer Service and Field Production Team is looking for a Field Service Coordinator who can coordinate field service scheduling and provide inside support for field service technicians. The candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Three to five years experience in one of the following: service scheduling, field service, or project management.
  • Two year technical degree or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe.
  • Proficient communication skills both verbal and written.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Three years customer service and parts sales experience.
  • Experience in collaboration and problem resolution.
  • Water treatment chemistry and plant operation experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of scheduling techniques and practices.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controller hardware and software.
  • Effective time management.

Duties include:

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controller hardware and software.

  • Coordinate field service scheduling, including workload projection
  • Coordinate the field service information handoff to Field Service Technicians
  • Work with Tonka Water suppliers, representative firms and internal departments
  • Inside support for field service technicians by coordinating with project management, purchasing, applications engineering, controls and others to support onsite activities
  • Support Customer Service Representative
    • Technical phone support to customers
    • Parts, service and refurbishments – provide quotations, order and ship
    • Record customer interaction data

The Tonka Water Sales Team is looking for an Estimator who can directly support territory managers estimating systems and water treatment projects. This is an opportunity to work for a progressive, local, well managed, growing company that trains and values its employees.

The candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Three years experience as an estimator or project manager for manufacture of complex mechanical systems or construction projects.
  • High School Diploma with college course work in mathematics, accounting, drafting or mechanical engineering desirable.
  • Experienced and can demonstrate knowledge of steel fabrication, manufacturability, welding, and other fabrication-related processes.
  • Experienced and can demonstrate ability to interpret construction Plans & Specifications and prepare estimating bill of materials for piping, valves, and other system components.
  • Proficiency in Adobe, Excel, Access, Outlook and Auto-cad.

Duties include:

  • Manage and maintain the on-line project advertising services including monitor upcoming projects to bid and following the Sales Procedure for bid opportunity notification and plan and spec distribution.
  • Plan activity based on estimating calendar, establishing priorities and securing assistance from other estimators and territory managers in order to resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Review specs (including drawings and all addenda) and Tonka Water quotations in order to create estimates in conformance with requirements.  Identify discrepancies for discussion with the Territory Manager
  • Submit accurate RFQ’s to suppliers.  Review supplier quotations for compliance with requirements and research alternative specialty components.
  • Collaborate with production team on specialty project deliverables and timelines.
  • Call a scope review meeting with project team members.
  • Prepare estimate in conformance with quality model, which includes sending drawings to fabricators, obtaining quotes on long lead items, obtaining multiple quotes on critical components, and preparing final estimate 24 hours before bid. 
  • Prepare estimates for industrial applications, research required component parts, sub-systems etc and obtain competitive pricing.
  • Maintain, organize, and control all estimating documentation in appropriate project files to allow access to sales and production personnel.  This includes back-up data on key items, copies of materials to suppliers, and supplier quotations.
  • Prepare budgetary estimates as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
