A growing number of municipalities find that retrofitting existing equipment is an attractive and cost-effective option. Tonka brings extensive experience to retrofitting of water treatment facilities. We believe that a carefully designed, customized project can save an enormous amount of time and money, while maximizing the potential of the existing system - and improving overall water quality.

Unnecessary expenditures can be avoided by utilizing Tonka’s extensive experience, proven low flow backwash system, and ability to renovate, rather than replace, existing underdrain systems where appropriate. We can supply most lines of valves, meters and controls, as well as replacement filter media. Additionally, Tonka can add new air scour systems, automatic controls, underdrains and other improvements such as Simul-Wash™ to existing systems.

We are able to work with a wide variety of other manufacturers' equipment as required. Our capabilities meet any application requirements – without restriction on equipment, manufacture or plant size.
