Tonka Water TOC Technologies
Tonka Water offers pilot testing to optimize an existing plant or to assist in the design of a new plant.
TOC in surface and groundwaters can be in the form of Natural Organic Matter (NOM) derived from the decomposition of vegetation waste. It can also be in the form of any number of man-made compounds. TOC is a general term, and compounds can have a complex molecular structure, and be non-uniform in molecular weights and sizes.
Under the addition of chlorine, NOM can form regulated Disinfectant By Products (DBP). TOC in and of itself is not a consistent indicator of disinfectant by product formation potential.
Tonka Water offers pilot testing to optimize an existing plant or to assist in the design of a new plant.
Our Organix™ system is a proven and superior TOC, DOC and color removal system using organic selective ion exchange in a pressurized, enclosed process. There is no intermediate pumping required and the system is not dependent on flocculators, chemical feed, pH adjustment, gear reducers, mixers or other mechanical devices.
Tonka Water’s packaged systems meet water treatment needs in a customizable manner. Tonka Water has package systems for both groundwater and surface water.
The Pur-IX™ system features the lowest brine consumption in the industry using its unique continuous ion exchange technology. Continuously regenerated without affecting treated water production, it operates up to 3000 GPM on a single multi-port valve, features virtually no maintenance, and seamlessly operates without interruption for regeneration.
Tonka Water’s RotaClear™ provides high rate enhanced solids contact clarification in a continuous mixing environment, with slurry recirculation of pre-formed floc for chemical feed optimization, followed by upflow clarification. RotaClear™ clarifiers are applicable to projects involving lime softening, turbidity removal, color removal and the removal of suspended solids.
Tonka Water’s TriClear™propeller solids contact clarifiers are versatile upflow clarifiers suitable for a wide variety of solids removal applications.
Tonka Water’s Flux RO/NF™ membrane treatment uses spiral-wound membranes to “filter” or exclude the dissolved divalent cations, under reverse osmosis pressure. Tonka Water Flux RO/NF™ treatment systems can soften even the hardest waters through our innovative treatment technology; we use the latest in membrane treatment, all packaged in a factory assembled compact treatment system, complete with the Tonka Water system guarantee.
Vertical pressure filters with GAC media can solve a broad range of water treatment issues including TOC removal and others.
Each plant has different design parameters involving various chemical feed systems with variations in detention times and filtration media. Because each TOC situation is unique, we offer pilot testing to optimize an existing plant or to assist in the design of a new plant. Call your Tonka Water Representative for more information on Total Organic Carbon removal or any other water treatment needs you may have.
