Isolated Cell Calcite System Commissioned in North Carolina
We are pleased to announce that a large Tonka Water, a U.S. Water Brand, calcite remineralization system has been recently commissioned in Craven County, North Carolina to moderate pH and add hardness and alkalinity downstream from their new membrane treatment facility. The Tonka Water system uses an OptaCell Plus™ horizontal pressure vessel with isolated cell design, an equipment option that affords operational flexibility with a compact, efficient footprint. Isolating individual cells within the vessel allows a plant operator to backwash or take a cell off-line while continuing to treat water in the other cells, all the while keeping the plant operating at capacity. The system will increase the stability of the water through remineralization, giving the resident of The County stable, palatable water for years to come.
