Tonka Water’s Ryan Godfrey Appointed to Federal Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee
Ryan Godfrey, PhD, Senior Vice President has been appointed by the United States Department of Commerce to serve on the Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee (ETTAC). The Committee advises the U.S. Secretary of Commerce on matters relating to trade policy, effects of government policy and regulation, competitiveness of US industry, identification of environmental technology opportunities and strategies to expand awareness and promotion within the industry. Dr. Godfrey brings over 20 years of design, research and teaching experience in the fields of applied physics, materials science and engineering to the committee. At Tonka Water, he oversees operations which include production, field services, customer service, quality management, engineering and design.

Established in 1980 by the Secretary of Commerce, the committee operates as part of the International Trade Administration (ITA). The ITA strengthens the competitiveness of the U.S. industry, promotes trade and investment and enforces trade laws and agreements. Under the advisement of the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, the ETTAC is charged with developing actionable recommendations to improve export competitiveness.
